Philippine Studies is an internationally refereed journal that publishes a wide variety of scholarly and original articles by younger as well as established scholars. It is a forum for the dissemination of research in the humanities and social sciences, the expression of scholarly views on various aspects of Philippine life, and the pursuit of friendly and constructive debate. It fosters the study of the Philippines in theoretical, interdisciplinary, comparative, transnational, and global perspectives.
Welcoming contributions in a readable and lively form, the journal seeks to reach an audience of specialists and non-specialists, in the Philippines and across the world. Founded in 1953, Philippine Studies is published quarterly by the Ateneo de Manila University Press.
