The Australian Society for Sports History's journal, Sporting Traditions, is a fully refereed journal that promotes the serious study of sport in society. Articles deal with the economic, political, social, legal or philosophical significance of sporting activity. Whilst most of the articles in the past have been on Australian sport and have an historical focus, articles on other societies and on contemporary sport may be included. The journal also contains a strong reviews section.
