Australian Antarctic Magazine
The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), an agency of the Department of the Environment and Water Resources, leads Australia's Antarctic program and seeks to advance Australia's Antarctic interests in pursuit of its vision of having 'Antarctica valued, protected and understood'. Australia's four Antarctic goals are to:
- maintain the Antarctic Treaty System and enhance Australia's influence in it
- protect the Antarctic environment
- understand the role of Antarctica in the global climate system
- undertake scientific work of practical, economic and national significance.
Australian Antarctic Magazine supports these aims by informing the Australian and international Antarctic community about the activities of the Australian Antarctic program. Australian Antarctic Magazine is produced twice yearly.
