The Management Case Study Journal aims to publish cases that have application in graduate management education in the Asia Pacific context.
The idea behind the MCSJ is to offer information, insights and 'big picture' interpretations that focus on problems and issues that justify a research-based approach, that is to say, a serious attempt at systematic enquiry that can only be adequately expressed through the more intimate nature of the case study illustration.
In the MCSJ it is not essential that the whole paper is exclusively based on a case illustration but it should certainly be a prominent feature. We have no special definition of what case study means. We encourage papers that engage readers through a narrative, 'story line' approach, especially those that identify a widely recognised problem that can be expressed through a case study illustration. We also encourage case studies that have application in graduate management education in the Asia Pacific context.
