Please contact your library or institution to obtain a copy of the relevant licence terms.

  • Log in to Informit Admin.
  • Change the Pay Per View option to No.
  • Save changes.

Log in to Informit Admin and enter the name of your organistion next to the Display Name. To request changes to these details, contact your organisation's nominated administrator.

These details will appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the Search screen. To request changes to these details, contact your organisation’s nominated administrator.

Options in Informit are set at three levels—System default, Organisation and User.

  • System defaults are preset for all Informit options. Preset options are deemed those suitable for most organisations. System default options can be changed at the administrator level.
  • Organisation preferences can be set by your organisation’s nominated administrator to suit local needs.
  • User preferences can be changed during an Informit session, usually by selecting from a dropdown menu. User options revert to the organisation default when the user logs out.

You need to enter your details into Informit Admin.

Note: ensure Web holdings active is set to No.

  • Log in to Informit Admin.
  • Go to User preferences.
  • Set the OpenURL active field to Yes.
  • Enter the base URL of your OpenURL resolver in the OpenURL base URL field, e.g. sfx.myuni.edu.au:9003/sfx_local?.
  • Enter the URL of the image you wish to display in Informit as the link icon.
  • Place this image in the OpenURL image field, e.g. sfx.myuni.edu.au:9003/images/sfx_image.gif.
  • Optional: enter OpenURL window width/height to specify the size of the OpenURL window to open. (The default is 400x400.)
  • Optional: set the OpenURL block if InformitFT? field to Yes if you want to suppress the OpenURL link from appearing when full text is already available from Informit.
  • Save changes.

Yes. OpenURL enables your library to search across all of your digital subscriptions, to see if you are currently holding a full text version of a specific article.

Use the following URL format to link directly to a particular article:

https://search.informit.org/documentSummary;res=[Database Code];dn=[Document Number]

For example, to jump to the article title, ‘Privatised immigration detention centres: Challenges and opportunities for implementing human rights’ by Tania Penovic in the journal Law in Context, Volume 31, 2014:
